The PLI Conferences will take place this year on September 27 and 28 in Rennes, at the Roazhon Park stadium, in collaboration with Cailabs, the Maupertuis Institute and Photonics Bretagne. Ten internationally renowned guest speakers will be present to share their expertise with you.
Discover one of them, Katrin WUDY, Professorship for Laser-based Additive Manufacturing at the Technische Universität München.
Introduction
Since 2019 Katrin Wudy is an Assistant Professor for laser-based Additive Manufacturing at the Technical University of Munich, one of Europe’s leading universities and one of the TU9 Universities of Technology Excellence in Engineering and Science in Germany. Prof. Wudy’s research area are laser-based additive manufacturing techniques with plastics and metals. The research focus is along the entire process chain from material development, new process strategies to automation solutions and quality management in additive manufacturing. She studied plastics and rubber engineering at the University of Applied Science Würzburg-Schweinfurt and finishes her PhD at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) in the field of powder and laser-based additive manufacturing in 2017.
How did you
find out about the PLI Conferences?
I was invited by Gwenn Pallier, Product Line Manager at CAILABS.
What made you want to give a conference at the PLI Conferences?
It is a nice opportunity to show our latest research results.
What will be the subject of your conference?
My talk will be about different beam-shaping strategies and their use in the field of Additive Manufacturing.
